The SAP HANA Cloud Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing high-performance data models and database objects within SAP HANA Cloud. The role requires strong SQL expertise, deep understanding of HANA Cloud architecture, and hands-on experience with SQLScript, relational modeling, and performance tuning. The developer will collaborate closely with architects, analysts, and functional teams to deliver scalable, secure, and efficient data solutions aligned with enterprise standards.
Develop, optimize, and maintain SAP HANA Cloud database objects including tables, views, calculation views, and stored procedures.
Write complex, high-performance SQL queries and SQLScript logic for transactional and analytical workloads.
Support ETL/ELT workflows, scripted transformations, and data processing pipelines within SAP HANA Cloud.
Perform query optimization, performance tuning, indexing, and troubleshooting to ensure system efficiency.
Implement relational data models, semantic views, and reusable data artifacts following HANA Cloud best practices.
Work with HDI containers, SAP BTP services, and Business Application Studio (BAS) for application development and deployments.
Ensure data quality, accuracy, security, and compliance with project and platform standards.
Collaborate with solution architects, functional consultants, and cross-functional teams to design scalable end-to-end solutions.
Provide support during UAT, performance testing, production releases, and post-deployment stabilization.
5–9 years / 10+ years of hands-on experience as an SAP HANA Cloud Developer.
Strong expertise in SQL, SQLScript, and advanced query optimization.
Solid understanding of relational modeling, cloud data architecture, and performance tuning concepts.
Experience working with SAP HANA Cloud artifacts including calculation views, procedures, table functions, views, and schemas.
Exposure to SAP BTP services, HDI containers, Business Application Studio (BAS), and Git-based development workflows.
Experience supporting ETL/ELT pipelines and large-scale data processing.
Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to collaborate with architecture and functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
