DevSecOps Engineer

Overview

Hurix Digital is seeking a skilled and proactive DevOps Engineer to join our
high-performing engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing,
implementing, and maintaining scalable, secure, and highly available infrastructure across
cloud platforms. You will drive the automation of deployment processes, ensure
infrastructure consistency through Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), and enable seamless
CI/CD workflows across development teams.
This is a hands-on engineering role best suited for professionals with a strong foundation
in cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure), container orchestration, configuration management,
and system reliability.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
● Cloud Infrastructure Management:
○ Deploy and maintain highly available, fault-tolerant systems using AWS and other
cloud platforms (GCP, Azure).
○ Manage networking, IAM, EC2, VPC, ELB/ALB, Autoscaling, Lambda, and related
services.
○ Utilize AWS Managed Products such as ECS, ECR, RDS, SQS, Route 53, Redshift, etc.
● Automation & CI/CD Enablement:
○ Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, Travis CI, GitHub
Actions.
○ Drive automation of repetitive tasks using scripting languages (Shell, Bash, Python,
etc.).
○ Implement build automation and environment provisioning aligned with DevOps
best practices.
● Containerization & Orchestration:
○ Design and manage containerized applications using Docker.
○ Deploy and scale applications using Kubernetes or Amazon ECS.
○ Optimize container performance and security across environments.
● Infrastructure as Code & Configuration Management:
○ Develop and maintain infrastructure using Terraform or CloudFormation.
○ Use tools like Ansible, Chef, Puppet, or SaltStack for consistent configuration
management.
○ Enforce infrastructure versioning and compliance through code.

● Monitoring & Reliability Engineering:
○ Implement monitoring and alerting systems using tools like CloudWatch,
DataDog, Prometheus.
○ Support NoSQL database operations (MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis) with HA and
backup configurations.
○ Ensure incident response, recovery protocols, and system resilience are in place.
● Collaboration & Leadership:
○ Work closely with integration and deployment teams to align on system
architecture.
○ Contribute to architectural decisions and cloud governance policies.
○ Document infrastructure practices and train team members on DevOps tools and
techniques.
Qualifications & Experience:
○ 5–8 years of professional experience in a DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering role.
○ Strong expertise in Linux environments and at least one scripting language (e.g.,
Shell, Python).
○ Deep experience with AWS services; exposure to GCP and Azure is a plus.
○ Proficiency with container platforms and orchestration tools.
○ Solid understanding of IaC principles, CI/CD tooling, and automation frameworks.
○ Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, etc.).
○ Familiarity with monitoring solutions and performance tuning techniques.
Preferred Attributes:
● Hands-on experience with multi-cloud environments.
● Exposure to Agile/DevOps collaboration models.
● Strong problem-solving skills and a bias for automation and scalability.
● Excellent communication and cross-functional teamwork abilities.
● Experience managing RFPs, cost optimization, and cloud compliance.
