Overview
We are seeking a highly analytical and experienced Operations Research Consultant with a minimum of 10 years of expertise to lead complex optimization and forecasting initiatives within our manufacturing division.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement Transfer Function models to understand the dynamic relationships between manufacturing inputs and production outputs.
- Design and execute Batch Selection Optimization functions to maximize throughput, minimize waste, and ensure optimal resource allocation across production lines.
- Awareness of developing intuitive dashboards in SAS Visual Analytics (VA) for visualisation.
- Utilize SAS Enterprise Guide (EG) for data manipulation, ETL processes, and statistical analysis of large-scale manufacturing datasets.
- Well versed with the mathematical programming (LP, MILP) or simulation techniques.
- Lead junior analysts in best practices for SAS programming and Operations Research methodologies.
Experience: 10+ years in Operations Research, Data Science, or Industrial Engineering.
SAS Proficiency: Expert-level command of SAS EG and SAS VA. Knowledge of SAS/OR or SAS Optimization is highly preferred.
Industry Expertise: Proven track record in the Manufacturing sector,in dealing with production scheduling or quality control.
Technical Depth: Demonstrated experience in creating Transfer Functions and Optimization algorithms for batch processing.
Optimization Logic: Ability to write custom objective functions and constraints for complex manufacturing environments.
Education: Bachelor's or Master’s in Operations Research, Mathematics, Statistics, or Engineering.
Communication: Ability to explain the optimization to non-technical plant managers and stakeholders.
