Overview
We are looking for an experienced IBM Sterling OMS Developer with strong Java development skills to design, develop, and support enterprise Order Management solutions.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with IBM Sterling Order Management System (OMS), Java-based development, integrations, and customization of OMS workflows. You will work closely with business stakeholders, solution architects, and engineering teams to deliver scalable order management solutions supporting omnichannel and supply chain operations.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain solutions using IBM Sterling Order Management System (OMS)
- Develop custom components and enhancements using Java and related technologies
- Configure and customize IBM Sterling OMS to support business requirements
- Develop and maintain APIs, services, and system integrations
- Participate in solution design, technical discussions, and code reviews
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues while ensuring system stability
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, QA teams, and Solution Architects
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives
- Support system testing, deployment activities, and production releases
- Prepare technical documentation and contribute to development best practices
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of software development experience
- Hands-on experience with IBM Sterling Order Management System (OMS)
- Strong Java development experience
- Experience with Spring Boot, REST APIs, and Microservices
- Experience integrating IBM Sterling OMS with enterprise applications such as ERP, WMS, eCommerce platforms, and payment systems
- Strong understanding of Order Management and Supply Chain business processes
- Experience with SQL and relational databases
- Familiarity with Git and CI/CD pipelines
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the Automotive, Retail, or eCommerce industry
- Experience with IBM Sterling Call Center, Store Engagement, or related Sterling modules
- Knowledge of XML, XSLT, JSON, JMS, and Web Services
- Experience working with cloud-based deployments and containerized applications
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Exposure to DevOps practices and automated deployment pipelines
