Content Delivery SME – German

Overview

This is a senior specialist content and delivery role at the heart of VOICE German™. You will own the curriculum documents that power the programme, deliver training to nursing candidates in Mumbai, and build the trainer pipeline that will allow VOICE German™ to scale across multiple cities. This is not a general language teaching role — it requires C2-level German mastery, direct lived experience of the German workplace, deep pedagogical rigour, and the discipline to produce EduBridge-standard curriculum documents that carry the programme's IP. Your Germany experience is not a preference — it is the foundation of the credibility you will bring to every session, every document, and every trainer you certify.

What makes this role significant: The content you create is protected intellectual property used by trainers across 5 cities. The trainers you certify become the programme's delivery engine. The learners you take to B2 are the candidates Germany's hospitals hire. Your direct experience of working and living in Germany is what will make both the curriculum and the classroom credible — not just technically accurate.

Job Description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1.  Curriculum Content Development

Design and write VOICE German™ curriculum documents across all four levels (A1–B2): session plans, learner workbooks, facilitator guides, and assessment rubrics — all aligned to CEFR and Goethe/TELC examination standards.

Develop nursing-specific language content: Pflege vocabulary, patient interaction scripts, clinical documentation language, and scenario-based role-play scripts embedded into every level.

Produce the VOICE German™ Trainer Playbook and all BBTC (Bridge Beyond Trainer Certification) materials — the documents that enable certified trainers to deliver the programme at scale with consistency.

Maintain version control and document compliance standards as per EduBridge's VOICE German Document Production Standards; all materials vest as EduBridge IP.

Collaborate with the Head of L&D on programme architecture decisions and review cycles.

2.  Training Delivery — Mumbai Batches

Deliver VOICE German™ training to batches of nursing candidates in Mumbai — covering the full A1 through B2 pathway entirely in India before candidate departure.

Use a communicative and immersive methodology: speaking labs, scenario role-plays, Goethe/TELC mock exams, and weekly proficiency checks as per the programme's assessment framework.

Monitor individual learner progress rigorously; intervene early when a learner is at risk of not meeting the B1 certification deadline.

Prepare candidates comprehensively for the Goethe-Institut or TELC B1 certification exam — the official gateway to the Germany visa. B1 pass rates are a primary performance metric for this role.

Maintain attendance records, assessment data, and batch progress reports for submission to the Programme Manager.

3.  Trainer Certification — BBTC Programme

Certify VOICE German™ trainers through the BBTC (Bridge Beyond Trainer Certification) framework — the quality gate that ensures every trainer who delivers the programme meets EduBridge's pedagogical and language standards.

Conduct BBTC induction, observation, feedback, and certification sessions for new trainer recruits.

Support ongoing quality assurance of certified trainers through spot checks, retraining where needed, and annual recertification.

4.  B2 Delivery — Full Pathway Completion in India

Own the B2 level curriculum and deliver it to candidates in India before departure — ensuring all learners exit the programme at CEFR B2 standard, examination-ready.

Prepare candidates for Goethe-Institut or TELC B2 certification; B2 pass rates are a milestone metric tied to deployment readiness.

Design assessment checkpoints between B1 and B2 to track progression and identify candidates who need additional support before the B2 exam.

5.  Cross-City Quality Assurance

Act as the quality anchor across all 5 pilot city batches — not just Mumbai. Conduct periodic remote observation sessions of city FTE trainers, review their assessment data, and flag early where delivery quality is drifting from the VOICE German™ standard.

Design and administer the German language enrolment screening test used across all cities to assess candidates before batch allocation — this must be ready before the first batch goes live.

Travel to city locations as required to conduct BBTC certification sessions, in-person quality audits, and trainer calibration workshops — up to 5 cities across Trichy, Hyderabad, Chennai, Guwahati, and Mumbai.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Essential

German language proficiency at C2 level — full mastery. This is a hard requirement. The role cannot be performed at C1 or below.

Minimum 3 years of having lived and worked in Germany. This is not a preference — it is the experience that makes the curriculum authentic, the classroom credible, and the nursing-workplace scenarios real. Candidates who have only studied German in India will not be considered.

Minimum 8 years of combined experience in German language instruction, curriculum development, or professional use of German in a structured environment.

Proven ability to produce structured curriculum documents: session plans, learner workbooks, assessment rubrics, trainer guides — at professional, publishable standard, not informal teaching notes.

Deep familiarity with the CEFR framework and at least one external examination standard — Goethe-Institut, TELC, or ÖSD — from the perspective of a practitioner, not just a test-taker.

Working knowledge of healthcare or nursing German is strongly advantageous — Pflege vocabulary, clinical communication, patient interaction language. If not at hire, rapid self-directed acquisition is non-negotiable.

Full professional English proficiency for internal documentation, coordination, and programme management.

Preferred

Experience in a train-the-trainer, trainer certification, or academic programme management role.

Prior experience designing curriculum for healthcare professionals, nurses, or migration/pathway programmes.

Active professional network in Germany — hospitals, nursing institutions, Goethe-Institut, DAAD, or German employer community. This is not required at hire but is a significant advantage.

Exposure to EdTech platforms, LMS environments, or AI-assisted language learning tools.

Experience working across multiple geographies or managing distributed training delivery.

WHAT THIS ROLE IS NOT

This is not a conversational German tutoring role. You will produce curriculum documents that carry EduBridge's IP and that are used by trainers across 5 cities to deliver the programme at scale.

This is not a role for someone who learned German excellently in India but has never lived there. Germany experience is a hard requirement — the nursing workplace scenarios, the cultural nuances, and the professional language register you will build into this curriculum can only come from someone who has lived them.

This is not a remote role. Mumbai-based, on-site presence is required for batch delivery, with travel to all 5 pilot cities for trainer certification and quality assurance.
