Sr. QA Engineer

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior QA Engineer with expertise in both Manual and
Automation Testing for web and mobile applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong
background in testing methodologies, hands-on experience with test automation tools, API
testing, performance testing, and CI/CD integration. The individual will play a key role in
ensuring the quality and stability of our web and mobile applications while actively contributing
to the automation of test processes and workflows.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
 Lead end-to-end quality assurance activities, ensuring the successful delivery of web and
mobile applications with minimal defects.
 Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using industry-standard tools and
frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium, Cypress, TestNG, etc.).
 Perform manual testing of web and mobile applications, including functional, integration,
regression, and system testing.
 Create and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
 Develop, manage, and execute test scenarios across multiple devices and platforms
(Android, iOS, web).
 Ensure testing covers the full spectrum: usability, performance, security, and
compatibility.
 Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, and
other QA engineers to ensure quality throughout the SDLC.
 Identify, report, and track defects, and perform root cause analysis to prevent future
issues.
 Work with the development team to prioritize issues and ensure they are addressed before
releases.
 Continuously improve testing processes, tools, and techniques to optimize efficiency and
effectiveness.
 Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to junior QA engineers and foster a culture
of quality.
Key Skills:
 Manual Testing: Expertise in SDLC, STLC, functional, regression, UAT, cross-browser,
and mobile testing.
 Test Automation (Web & Mobile): Proficient in Selenium, Appium, JavaScript,
Python, Java, Playwright, and Cypress.
 API Testing: Skilled in testing RESTful APIs, GraphQL with Postman, RestAssured,
and scripting in JavaScript/Python.
 Performance Testing: Experience with JMeter, Gatling, and k6 for load and
performance testing.
 Test Management: Proficient in JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr for defect tracking and writing
clear bug reports.
 CI/CD Integration: Experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, and
Docker for test automation.
 Mobile-Specific Testing: Knowledge of real devices, simulators, XCUITest, Espresso,
deep linking, and push notifications.
 Security & Compliance: Understanding of OWASP Top 10, security principles, and
compliance with HIPAA, GDPR, ISO 27001.
Preferred Experience:
 Cloud & Test Environment: Exposure to AWS Device Farm, LambdaTest, and
containerized testing with Docker/Kubernetes.
 AI/ML in Testing: Familiar with AI-powered tools like Testim, Mabl, and Applitools for
test automation.
 Scripting & Database Testing: SQL knowledge for backend validation and scripting in
Python, Shell, PowerShell.
 Accessibility Testing: Familiar with WCAG, ARIA roles, and accessibility tools like
Axe and WAVE.
 Agile & Collaboration: Experience in Agile/Scrum environments, with tools like JIRA,
Slack, and Git for version control.
 Work Estimations & Strategic Insight: Proven experience in providing accurate work
estimations and applying strategic insight to align design efforts with broader
organizational goals and objectives.
