SAP BTP AI Developer

Overview

We are seeking an innovative SAP BTP AI Developer to design, develop, and implement AI-powered business applications on the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP). The ideal candidate will have experience building intelligent enterprise solutions using SAP AI services, Generative AI, SAP Joule, and modern development frameworks such as CAP, Node.js, or Python.

This role involves integrating Large Language Models (LLMs), AI services, and SAP applications to deliver intelligent automation and enhanced user experiences.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy AI-enabled applications on SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP).
• Develop intelligent business solutions using SAP AI Core and SAP AI Launchpad.
• Integrate SAP Joule and other SAP AI services into enterprise applications.
• Build and optimize Prompt Engineering strategies for Generative AI use cases.
• Integrate Large Language Models (LLMs) with SAP applications and business processes.
• Develop AI-powered document processing solutions using SAP Document Information Extraction (Document AI).
• Design and implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures integrated with SAP HANA Cloud Vector Engine.
• Develop cloud-native applications using the SAP Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP).
• Build backend services and APIs using Node.js or Python.
• Integrate AI capabilities with SAP solutions such as SAP S/4HANA, SAP SuccessFactors, SAP Ariba, and SAP BTP services.
• Collaborate with solution architects, functional consultants, and business stakeholders to translate AI use cases into scalable technical solutions.
• Optimize AI application performance, scalability, security, and reliability.
• Participate in technical design discussions, code reviews, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Stay current with SAP AI innovations, Generative AI technologies, and emerging SAP BTP capabilities.

Required Skills & Experience

Mandatory Skills

• Hands-on experience with SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP).
• Experience developing applications using SAP AI Core and SAP AI Launchpad.
• Knowledge of SAP Joule and SAP AI service integrations.
• Experience with Prompt Engineering and integrating Large Language Models (LLMs) into SAP applications.
• Experience with SAP Document Information Extraction (Document AI).
• Knowledge of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architecture.
• Experience integrating AI solutions with SAP HANA Cloud Vector Engine.
• Development experience using SAP CAP (Cloud Application Programming Model), Node.js, or Python.
• Experience designing and consuming REST APIs and cloud-based services.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with SAP Integration Suite and SAP Build.
• Knowledge of SAP HANA Cloud and SAP BTP services.
• Familiarity with Generative AI frameworks such as LangChain, OpenAI APIs, or similar AI orchestration frameworks.
• Experience integrating AI capabilities with SAP S/4HANA or other SAP enterprise applications.
• Knowledge of containerized deployments, Kubernetes, and cloud-native architectures.
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
• SAP BTP, SAP AI, or Generative AI certifications are an added advantage.
