SAP BTP Developer

Overview

We are looking for an experienced SAP BTP Developer to design, develop, and deploy cloud-native applications and extensions on the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP). The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with SAP Build solutions and BTP development services. This role requires expertise in one or more SAP BTP technologies and should not be limited to SAPUI5/Fiori development alone

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy enterprise applications on SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).
• Develop low-code/no-code business applications using SAP Build Apps.
• Automate business workflows using SAP Build Process Automation.
• Build and configure digital workplace solutions using SAP Build Work Zone.
• Develop cloud-native applications using SAP Business Application Studio (BAS).
• Design and implement side-by-side extensions for SAP S/4HANA and other SAP applications.
• Develop applications using the Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP).
• Build backend services using Node.js and/or Java on SAP BTP.
• Configure and manage Connectivity Service, Destination Service, and secure integration with SAP and non-SAP systems.
• Develop and optimize applications using SAP HANA Cloud and/or PostgreSQL.
• Deploy, monitor, and manage applications across SAP BTP environments.
• Collaborate with functional consultants, solution architects, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable cloud solutions.
• Perform application enhancements, bug fixes, and production support activities.
• Follow SAP development standards, security guidelines, and DevOps best practices.

Required Skills & Experience

Mandatory Skills

• Strong experience with SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP).
• Hands-on experience in one or more of the following technologies:
• SAP Build Apps
• SAP Build Process Automation
• SAP Build Work Zone
• SAP Business Application Studio (BAS)
• Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP)
• Node.js development on SAP BTP
• Java development on SAP BTP
• SAP HANA Cloud
• PostgreSQL
• Connectivity Service
• Destination Service
• Side-by-side extension architecture
• Application deployment and lifecycle management on SAP BTP
• Experience developing cloud-native applications and integrations.
• Strong understanding of SAP BTP services, security, and application architecture.

Preferred Skills

• Experience integrating SAP BTP with SAP S/4HANA, SAP SuccessFactors, SAP Ariba, or other SAP cloud solutions.
• Exposure to SAP Integration Suite and SAP Event Mesh.
• Knowledge of SAPUI5/Fiori development (preferred but not mandatory).
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
• Understanding of REST APIs, OData services, and cloud application integration.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3–8+ years of experience in SAP development, including hands-on experience with SAP BTP.
• SAP BTP or SAP Build certifications are an added advantage.
