Salesforce Technical Architect (Core Clouds)

Overview

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Salesforce Technical Architect to lead the technical design, governance, and architectural integrity of our enterprise Salesforce platform.
In this role, you will serve as the chief technical authority across our Core Cloud ecosystem (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and Salesforce Platform).
You will translate complex business strategies into scalable, secure, and performant technical solutions.
Working closely with enterprise architects, business partners, and engineering teams, you will establish development standards, oversee complex system integrations, manage large data volume (LDV) strategies, and enforce technical governance across multi-org environments.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end technical architecture, data modeling, and system design across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Experience Cloud.
• Evaluate business requirements to determine the optimal balance between out-of-the-box configuration, standard declarative tools (Flows), and custom code (Apex, LWC).
• Architect secure, high-performance integration strategies connecting Salesforce with enterprise ERP, billing, and middleware systems (e.g., MuleSoft, REST/SOAP APIs, Pub/Sub API, Event-Driven Architecture).
• Design enterprise security models incorporating Single Sign-On (SSO/SAML), OAuth 2.0, Shield, fine-grained object/field-level security, and complex sharing rules. Ensure technical adherence to regulatory standards (GDPR, SOC2, HIPAA).  
• Optimize system performance, governor limit usage, and query efficiency. Architect strategies for Large Data Volumes (LDV), data archiving, indexing, and asynchronous processing.  
• Define and enforce engineering guidelines, code review standards, and automated deployment release management processes (SFDX, Git, CI/CD pipelines via Copado/Flosum/Jenkins).
• Mentor developers and lead the Architecture Review Board (ARB).  
• Stay current with Salesforce releases and platform shifts (such as Data Cloud, Agentforce, or CRM Analytics) to continuously modernize the tech stack.  

Required Qualifications:

• 12+ years of experience in the Salesforce ecosystem, with at least 4+ years acting in a Lead or Technical Architect capacity on enterprise-scale implementations.
• Deep architectural knowledge of Sales Cloud, Service Cloud (Omni-Channel, Knowledge, Service Console), and Experience Cloud (Portals/Communities).
• Advanced expertise in programmatic development (Apex, Lightning Web Components - LWC, Visualforce) and declarative development (Flows).
• Proven experience designing real-time and batch integrations using REST, SOAP, Bulk API, Platform Events, and middleware tools.
• Strong knowledge of identity management protocols (SAML, OAuth, OpenID), relational data modeling, SOQL/SOSL optimization, and data migration strategies.  

Preferred Certifications:

• Salesforce Certified Application Architect
• Salesforce Certified System Architect
• Salesforce Certified Technical Architect (CTA) (Major Plus) Experience with adjacent Salesforce products (Data Cloud, CRM Analytics, MuleSoft).  
• Familiarity with Agile software development frameworks and DevOps automated tools.
