Xyber Limbs, an evolution of the Universal Limbs initiative, is building the next generation of affordable, high-performance prosthetic limbs powered by precision mechanics and intelligent embedded systems. We are assembling a multidisciplinary offshore team passionate about redefining human mobility and accessibility through advanced robotics and engineering design.
Role Overview:
We’re seeking a Product Design Engineer skilled in organic 3D modeling to craft ergonomic, natural-looking prosthetic components. You’ll bridge the gap between mechanical structure and human-centered form, working closely with mechanical and embedded teams.
Responsibilities:
Design and refine organic shapes for prosthetic exteriors, sockets, and enclosures.
Use Fusion 360 (Form or Mesh tools), Blender, Rhino, or other mesh-editing tools to achieve natural curvature and aesthetic flow.
Collaborate with biomechanics and mechanical teams to ensure the visual form complements internal mechanics.
Prototype and iterate designs with feedback from user testing and ergonomic studies.
Prepare final design models optimized for additive manufacturing or molding processes.
Bachelor’s in Product Design, Industrial Design, or related field.
Strong experience designing organic or anthropomorphic forms.
Expertise in Fusion 360 Form tools, Blender, Rhino, or similar 3D mesh/modeling tools.
Understanding of ergonomic design principles and human anatomy.
Experience with medical, wearable, or consumer robotics products is a plus.
Bonus: Exposure to prosthetics, orthotics, or wearable robotics design workflows.
