looking for a highly skilled Senior Python Backend Developer to take full ownership of our server-side logic and cloud infrastructure. As a core Individual Contributor, you will drive the end-to-end development of high-performance APIs and scalable backend systems. This role requires a "proactive builder" mindset—someone who can architect, code, and deploy without constant oversight.
We are seeking a skilled Backend Developer with strong expertise in Python, the AWS tool stack, CI/CD using GitHub and data modeling. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining backend services that drive our applications and data workflows. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to build scalable, secure, and high-performance systems.
Responsibilities:
Develop, optimize, and maintain server-side applications using Python.
Build RESTful APIs, microservices, and backend components with strong reliability and performance.
Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following best practices.
Implement cloud-native solutions using AWS services (e.g., Lambda, EC2, S3, API Gateway, RDS, IAM).
Deploy and maintain infrastructure using AWS best practices and automation where applicable.
Ensure high scalability, fault tolerance, and cost optimization across cloud deployments.
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or GitHub Enterprise.
Automate testing, build, and deployment workflows to support continuous integration and delivery.
Collaborate with DevOps teams to enhance deployment efficiency and system reliability.
Design efficient and scalable data models for relational databases.
Optimize database queries, schemas, and performance.
Integrate data storage solutions into backend systems while ensuring data quality and integrity.
Work closely with Architect, frontend developers, UX designers, and QA teams.
Participate in technical discussions, and architecture design sessions.
Troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and ensure robust monitoring and logging.
Strong proficiency in Python (MCP, FastAPI or similar frameworks).
Hands-on experience with the AWS ecosystem (compute, databases, networking, storage, serverless).
Solid experience with GitHub for version control and GitHub Actions for CI/CD.
Expertise in data modeling for SQL systems.
Knowledge of API development, microservices architecture, and distributed systems.
Familiarity with containerization (Docker) is a plus.
