A Remote PERL Developer with strong expertise in PERL, T-SQL/SQL Server, and working knowledge of Python. The role involves application code conversion from Sybase to MS SQL, creating compatible PERL code, and contributing to migration efforts toward Python for long-term sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
PERL development skills with good knowledge of Python, TSQL / SQL server to be able to create compatible code.
ADO/Git and release management practices as commonly related to development cycle.
Monitoring / alerting etc nice to have.
Automation tools familiarity is nice to have.
Requirements
5+ years of total development experience.
Strong expertise in PERL development.
Hands-on experience with T-SQL / SQL Server.
Good to have knowledge of Python for code migration.
Familiarity with ADO/Git and release management practices.
Exposure to monitoring/alerting tools (nice to have).
Familiarity with automation tools (nice to have).
Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.
Ability to handle application code conversion from Sybase to MS SQL.
Flexibility to write compatible code in PERL or Python, depending on feasibility.
