Quality Assurance Analyst

Overview

The Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst is responsible for overseeing and ensuring that all project deliverables align with established quality standards. This role involves providing comprehensive oversight during project milestones, performing quality audits, ensuring compliance with best practices, and working closely with project teams to ensure that all outputs meet the required standards. The QA Analyst plays a pivotal role in safeguarding the quality of deliverables across the project lifecycle, especially in data reconciliation, system integrity, and ensuring robust testing processes. 

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Oversight: Oversee the quality assurance process throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring that each phase of the project adheres to defined quality standards and best practices.

Project Milestone QA: Conduct quality reviews and audits at key project milestones to verify that deliverables meet specified standards, including documentation, code quality, testing completeness, and user acceptance.

Test Plan Review and Validation: Work with the QA and development teams to ensure that test plans, cases, and scripts are designed to cover all functional, non-functional, and business requirements, including integration and data reconciliation.

Compliance and Standards Enforcement: Ensure that project deliverables comply with internal quality standards, industry regulations, and external audits or certification requirements.

Data Reconciliation Audits: Verify the integrity and accuracy of data post-milestone completion, particularly during data migrations, updates, or reconciliations, to ensure correctness and alignment with business needs.

Continuous Improvement: Identify gaps in the QA process and recommend improvements in tools, techniques, and methodologies to enhance the overall quality assurance process.

Risk Management and Mitigation: Assess potential quality risks in projects, identify areas of concern, and recommend corrective actions to mitigate risks and ensure on-time, high-quality delivery.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Communication: Act as a key liaison between QA teams, project managers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to provide clear updates on quality status and recommend actions for any gaps identified.

Documentation and Reporting: Provide detailed reports on the quality assurance activities and project health, summarizing test results, compliance status, and any issues or risks encountered during the project.

Post-Implementation Review: Conduct post-implementation quality checks and ensure that any issues are identified, documented, and resolved to maintain the project’s ongoing performance and stability.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Extensive experience in Quality Assurance, particularly in project oversight, auditing, and ensuring adherence to quality standards.

Experience in the banking/financial industry or a similarly regulated environment is highly desirable.
