We are seeking an experienced MongoDB Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance, reliability, and security of OpenShift clusters and MongoDB databases supporting critical banking applications. This role requires a blend of technical expertise in OpenShift infrastructure management and MongoDB administration to maintain high availability, secure operations, and peak performance.
OpenShift Services:
Cluster Monitoring & Maintenance: Perform daily monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance of OpenShift clusters, ensuring smooth operation, optimal performance, and resource allocation for NPSS
and TDH applications.
Application Support & Updates: Manage routine updates and deployments for NPSS and TDH banking applications, resolving issues and ensuring minimal downtime during updates or configuration changes.
RedHat OpenShift Administrator responsible for managing and maintaining OpenShift Clusters
Manage OpenShift Infrastructure ensuring optimum cluster sizing and resource allocation for hosted application.
Monitor OpenShift environment & configure alerts.
Maintain application access controls and ensure secure applications within shared infrastructure & Perform Security Updates.
Provide comprehensive documentation on cluster configurations, network policies and security protocols.
Provide continuous management and optimization of OpenShift environment.
Offer ongoing support to resolve issues related to application deployment and infrastructure management.
Target 99.99% of cluster uptime.
Target 95%+ deployment success rate.
Target to scale nodes up and down within the agreed timeframe.
Manage Backup and Restoration.
MongoDB Services:
Target 99.9 % uptime. This translates to less than 9 hours of downtime per year.
Target for a 100% success rate in DB backup restores. Regularly test restores to ensure reliability.
Target to monitor the query response time within 180 seconds for critical queries, depending upon business logic / requirement.
Target that storage usage does not exceed 80% of total capacity. Plan for alternatives when usage reaches 70%.
Target for less than 2% of scheduled jobs failing. Investigate and resolve any failures promptly.
Target to perform regular checks for data consistency. Any discrepancies (data corruption) should be highlighted immediately.
Target maintenance windows to a minimum, less than 6 hours per month, and schedule them during off-peak hours.
Target to monitor the number of active users and the databases that can handle peak loads without performance degradation.
Target to identify peak usage times and optimize resources accordingly.
