We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Backend Developer with expertise in Python and Azure SQL to join our dynamic development team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building scalable backend solutions, managing databases, and deploying cloud-based services.
You will work closely with front-end developers, product managers, and data engineers to build and maintain the core backend infrastructure for our applications.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using Python.
Build and optimize database solutions using Azure SQL, ensuring high performance and security.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and develop efficient solutions that align with business needs.
Develop and maintain RESTful APIs to integrate with front-end applications and external systems.
Implement cloud-native solutions on Azure and manage deployment pipelines for backend services.
Optimize backend code and database queries to ensure scalability and performance.
Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems to ensure the smooth operation of backend services.
Ensure code quality by writing unit tests, conducting code reviews, and following best practices for software development.
Work with DevOps to deploy and maintain applications in the Azure cloud environment.
Monitor and manage application performance, security, and database integrity.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
5+ years of experience as a Backend Developer with a strong focus on Python development.
Expertise in working with Azure SQL or other relational databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, etc.).
Hands-on experience with Azure cloud services (App Services, Functions, Storage, etc.).
Proficiency in designing and developing RESTful APIs and integrating with front-end applications.
Strong knowledge of ORMs (e.g., SQLAlchemy, Django ORM) and database schema design.
Experience with version control systems like Git and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
Solid understanding of asynchronous programming and multithreading in Python.
Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes is a plus.
Strong debugging and problem-solving skills, with a focus on performance optimization and scalability.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with different teams.
