Product Owner (PO) to lead the development of next-generation Mining Applications—including Asset Health Monitoring, Task Management / Short Interval Control (SIC), and Real-Time Location Systems (RTLS).
The Product Owner will define the roadmap, manage the backlog, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-value, scalable software products that enhance operational efficiency, asset reliability, and workforce safety in mining operations.
Key Responsibilities
Define and communicate the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Mining Applications aligned with the overall IIoT platform strategy.
Work with stakeholders (Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, and Safety teams) to identify key business challenges and translate them into software product opportunities.
Prioritize features that deliver measurable improvements in asset uptime, production efficiency, and operator safety.
Own the product backlog for mining applications like Asset Health, Task Management, and RTLS modules.
Define Epics, Features, and User Stories with clear acceptance criteria and measurable business outcomes.
Collaborate with Product Managers, Architects, and Release Owners to ensure alignment with platform capabilities
Continuously refine and prioritize the backlog to balance innovation with operational deliverables.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Mining Engineering, Industrial Systems, or a related field.
5+ years of professional experience as a Product Owner or in a similar product leadership role within software development.
Proven track record in delivering complex software products in an Agile / SAFe environment.
Hands-on experience with technologies related to Microservices, Containerization.
Experience on working with mining applications would be an added advantage
