SolidCAM Engineer responsible for creating, simulating, and optimizing CNC programs for milling and turning operations. The role involves interpreting technical drawings, selecting tooling and setups, troubleshooting machining issues, maintaining documentation, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve machining efficiency and reduce cycle time.

Job Description

Programming & Optimization: Create, simulate, and optimize CNC programs using SolidCAM, focusing on I Machining and high-speed machining (HSM) for milling/turning.

Technical Interpretation: Analyze 3D models and 2D drawings to determine optimal machining strategies.

Tooling & Setup: Select appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and work-holding devices; define feeds and speeds.

Prove-Out & Troubleshooting: Perform on-machine, first-off, and in-process inspections; troubleshoot chatter, finish, or dimension issues.

Documentation: Maintain up-to-date program files, setup sheets, and tool lists.

Collaboration: Coordinate with CNC operators, machinists, and design engineers to improve efficiency and reduce cycle times.
