We are looking for a Senior Test Engineer / Test Lead to manage our Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
Daily regression testing of firmware and software tooling
Maintenance and operation of robotic joint test benches (physical hardware on-site)
Ensuring thorough test coverage of firmware and software tooling for Client’s motion drives
Maintaining test infrastructure, CI pipelines, and test result reporting
You will be responsible for building a robust pytest-based automation framework that bridges the gap between software simulation and physical robotic motion.
You will oversee lab safety, equipment procurement, and technical growth for 3-4 junior engineers.
Work during Germany official work hours in an office environment in Kochi.
Required Qualifications:
Experience: 3–5 years in Robotics, Embedded Systems, or HIL
Strong proficiency in Python
Hands-on experience with software testing (unit, integration, regression)
Experience with pytest or equivalent Python testing frameworks
Fluent English – written and spoken
Familiarity with hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing environments
Experience in motion control, robotics, or embedded/firmware systems
Prior experience with servo drives, motor controllers, or similar electromechanical systems will be a plus
Standard software engineering practices: code review, documentation, issue tracking
Education: B.Tech/M.Tech in Mechatronics, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering preferred.
Tools: Testing, and CI/CD tooling, specifically GitHub Actions and/or Jenkins
Hands-on industry experience, be capable of independently driving day-to-day testing operations, mentoring junior team members, and acting as the primary technical point of contact
