Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and deploy cloud-native applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) using GCP services.
Apply best practices for application architecture, design patterns, and coding standards.
Implement security best practices and compliance standards in application development, including identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and data protection.
Develop and maintain automated testing, deployment, and monitoring solutions using CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or Google Cloud Build.
Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in cloud computing and GCP and evaluate new tools and services for potential integration into existing applications.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements, define technical specifications, and implement solutions that meet business needs.
Experience:
Over 10 years of experience, with 4+ years in cloud software development roles, or similar role, and 2+ years of hands-on experience with the Google Cloud Platform technology stack
Skilled in programming languages such as Nodejs, Python, Java, JavaScript, or Go.
Experience in building and deploying applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) using GCP services such as Compute Engine, App Engine, GKE, Pub/Sub, BigQuery, Cloud Storage, and Composer.
Strong understanding of serverless computing concepts and GCP services such as Cloud Functions and Cloud Run.
Proficiency in Containerization and orchestration (e.g. Docker, containerd, Kubernetes).
Good Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases, and proficiency in SQL and database design principles.
Experience with DevOps practices and tools for CI/CD, such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or Google Cloud Build.
Strong understanding of software development best practices, including version control, testing, and deployment automation.
Google Cloud Associate Cloud Engineer or Professional Cloud Developer certifications are highly desired.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
