We are seeking a Lead QA Engineer with 5–6 years of experience in software testing, defect tracking, and quality assurance. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and a strong team player with a keen analytical mindset. This role requires hands-on experience in both manual and automation testing, with the ability to lead QA activities for projects and releases alongside the team.
The candidate should be comfortable collaborating with the automation team and contributing to automation efforts as and when required.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and execute manual test cases to validate software functionality.
Identify, document, and track software defects using test management tools.
Lead QA efforts across the project lifecycle, including planning, test execution, and release sign-offs.
Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and QA team members for comprehensive testing coverage.
Perform regression, functional, API, and exploratory testing.
Participate in test automation by identifying automatable scenarios and contributing to the automation framework when required.
Ensure on-time, high-quality releases by managing test scope, timelines, and coordination.
Contribute to and foster a positive and respectful team culture.
Qualification:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Computer Science, IT, or related field).
Experience:
5–6 years of relevant QA experience
Minimum 1+ years of experience in leading a team
Must Have:
Solid Experience in manual testing of web and mobile applications.
Experience in test automation using Selenium with Python, leveraging BDD frameworks
Experience with API testing using tools like Postman or equivalent.
Strong understanding of test planning, test case design, and defect tracking processes.
Experience leading QA for projects and production releases.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Effective collaboration skills – able to work with cross-functional teams and contribute to automation efforts as needed.
Good-to-have:
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control tools (Git, Jenkins).
Exposure to performance or security testing.
Experience in Appium for mobile automation testing
