We are seeking a highly experienced DBT + Databricks + Microsoft Purview + Azure Engineer with a strong background in data governance, compliance, and S/4HANA data structures. The consultant will play a key role in reviewing and modernizing procurement/reporting systems, ensuring accurate data mapping and lineage across cloud platforms. This role requires a proactive individual who can collaborate with cross-functional teams and deliver high-quality technical solutions in a dynamic environment.
Lead the implementation and optimization of DBT, Databricks, Azure Purview within the enterprise data landscape.
Perform assessment and redesign of ECC procurement/trade reports to support migration and reporting needs for S/4HANA.
Analyze S/4HANA procurement tables and CDS views (EKPO, EKBE, MSEG/MKPF, PR/PO tables) to determine reporting specifications.
Develop and document functional specifications for business-critical procurement reporting including:
Procurement spend analytics
Purchase order and requisition tracking (PO/PR)
Vendor debit and reconciliation
Supplier performance assessments
Goods receipt and invoice receipt management
GR/IR reconciliation reporting
Ensure data governance, lineage, and compliance standards are accurately implemented and maintained.
Collaborate with BI teams, procurement SMEs, and technical architects to ensure reporting accuracy and operational continuity during migration.
✔ 10–12 years total experience in Data Engineering / BI / Cloud
✔ Hands-on expertise in:
DBT (Data Build Tool)
Azure Databricks
Microsoft Purview
Azure Data Services ecosystem
✔ Strong understanding of data governance, compliance, and lineage frameworks
✔ Proven experience with S/4HANA data models and procurement reporting
✔ Ability to analyze and redesign ECC reports for S/4HANA transformations
Strong knowledge of SAP procurement tables (EKPO, EKBE, MSEG, MKPF, etc.)
Ability to write clear functional report specifications
Good understanding of business processes including:
Procurement lifecycle
Supplier metrics and PO/PR tracking
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Ability to work in a collaborative and cross-functional environment
